Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD)
Provides / monitors a variety of case management-related services for individuals with specific developmental disabilities through the Medicaid-Waiver service. Services include day training, supported employment, therapies, and residential services. Agency also assists in enrollment the Medicaid Waiver Program for Broward County residents through an intake procedure.
(Callers for Medicaid Waiver enrollment need to speak with the Intake Specialist and have their child’s SSN available and will be sent a packet for enrollment. Parents should note Medicaid Waiver process can take years depending on need and level of crisis).

Must have documented diagnoses: Spina Bifida, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome and Mental Retardation (IQ below 70)
