Memorial Hospital – Behavioral – S.T.E.P.S. Program
STEPS (Success Through Effective Problem Solving) is a day treatment program for high school students. Structured and comprehensive, STEPS uses a caring approach to help adolescents address behavioral, mental health and substance abuse problems. The goal is to improve interpersonal skills, address behavioral and emotional problems and help the patient return to a mainstream school environment. Individual, family and group therapies, parent support groups and School Board of Broward County education services are available. Treatment is carefully integrated to help teens pursue a healthy, productive future. STEPS is licensed by the Department of Children & Families for substance abuse treatment.

ELIGIBILITY Adolescents in grades 9-12 experiencing family difficulties, behavioral problems, substance use or school legal problems / ASD
FEES: No fee, Insurance, Self-pay/Full, Sliding scale, Medicaid, Medicaid HMO; No fee based on income
INTAKE: Appointment, proof of identification, residency and health insurance card. Uninsured – proof of income
LANGUAGES: English, Spanish No restriction; only if indigent then must be resident in the area of South Broward Hospital District
