Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD)
Provides / monitors a variety of case management-related services for individuals with specific developmental disabilities through the Medicaid-Waiver service. Services include day training, supported employment, therapies, and residential services. Wheelchair Foundation

Therapies 4 Kids
FOR PROFIT – Therapies 4 kids offers an intensive 3 to 4-week strength-training-based Physical Therapy Program to improve or achieve developmental milestones with the use of the Therasuit method for children with Cerebral Palsy and other Developmental Delays. Grants – Bright Steps Forward – Therapies 4 Kids Inc.
A non-profit organization that provides children with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental delays with intensive pediatric therapy, using the thera-suit and HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) method and PT and OT. Those found to qualify for and who receive a grant (based on financial need and documentation of illness) may attend any of the forty or so clinics nationwide that offer this type of therapy. Grants – Shriners of North America
Assists children with orthopaedic problems, burns, spinal cord injuries and certain other health conditions. Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 22 pediatric hospitals providing specialized care for orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate. APD – Toll Free State-Wide Number
The phone operators will answer questions directly regarding Medicaid-Waiver services and APD. For more complex questions, however, the caller will be transferred to the best person to respond in a timely manner. Supervision and training activities to assist an individual with acquiring, maintaining and improving skills related to daily living. This service is provided in the individual’s place of residence which could be his/her own home, family home, foster home or licensed residential facility.
